I applied online. I interviewed at Sunrun (New York, NY) in Mar 2024
Interview
Drawn out and redundant Too many layers of staff asking the same questions. very disorganized. process was very drawn out. Message was very vague about company policies. Get your act together
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sunrun (Goshen, NY) in Aug 2023
Interview
Applied via website; referred by a current and well respected employee. Told by recruiter there would only be 1 interview scheduled for 45 mins, with a director and another Manager. Had the interview and some of the questions they asked were unoriginal. So I just went with the flow and thought everything went pretty well. I was asked to correspond with the recruiter for any questions or follow-up so that's what I did. Sent my thank you email expressing my interest in 24 hrs and also invited the team to ask any additional questions for clarification regarding my experience and all. I also asked for feedback on my interview regardless of decision. None was provided. My referral told me Sunrun put out a huge number of new jobs and recruiting would be busy. So I sent my follow-up email 2.5 weeks later. Recruiter sent me a rejection TEXT MESSAGE 4 BD later. Did not give any specific reason for why I wasn't selected except to say they hired someone that "aligned a bit better..." She ended the text with "Take care!" WTH is that exactly? This was a position that pays upwards of 100k with a manager title and that's how you treat prospecting employees? Not to repeat myself but here again, I'm an employee referral! Talk about disrespectful. So if that's how Sunrun treats people during the hiring process I cant imagine what it's like working for them. It's no wonder there are so many employee complaints about poor management. Good grief. It's my own fault though. They have rejected my application 10 times for 10 different positions without an interview. Just a system generated rejection email usually sent around 3:30AM Sunday morning. So yea I'm done with this company. Let your customers and employees continue to complain about your treatment and services.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about my experience with reports and how I used them for metrics monitoring.
Went through 6 interviews. The ghosted me and never responded back. They don’t value diversity since they brought me in as one for the interview process to “check that box” and then never followed up. Multiple red flags as everyone I interviewed with was boomer/rude/white and questioned my credentials
