Very cumbersome. Lots of hoops to jump through. I had four interviews including three phone screenings and one in-person interview with three people each lasting 30 minutes so 90 minutes total. Plus two writing samples. I wouldn't want to go through all of that again, mainly because when I asked for feedback after not being made an offer they never responded to me. That just left a poor taste in my mouth. It's totally fine to not get an offer, but after all of that effort some insight in to the decision would have been considerate.
