This was a highly unprofessional and untransparent process. The team took 1 week to send feedback and then asked me to start on a case study. I began the case study, then it took another 3-4 days to schedule the second interview. Then, the recruiter asked to call me and told me they were moving forward with another candidate and asked me to cancel. They claimed their intention was to "be respectful of my time" when in actuality were intentionally dragging the process out in case things didn't work out with the prior candidate. I will also add that the role is highly untechnical for corporate development.
