A recruiter reached out to me for a different role, but after discussing my experience they recommended I look into another role that hadn't been published yet that fit me better. Afterward, I had a quick phone screen with the hiring manager for that role and was brought onsite for a marathon session with several team members across the business. Everyone was friendly and they'd even scheduled in a coffee break since I was there for nearly five hours. Part of that was due to their required interview process with the hiring manager: I had to very explicitly explain each of my roles all the way back to my first job, as well as my professional relationships with each of my bosses, and what positive and negative things I thought each would say. Even so, I left feeling glad for the experience. Unfortunately after a week or so, their recruiter called to let me know they were moving on with another candidate.
