Don't waste your time! I wish I read these reviews before interviewing with Grammarly, but unfortunately I didn't. Based on reading these reviews, their negative interview process seems to have a very similar pattern with all their candidates. I understand that the interviewing in the virtual world has become a lot different, however the Grammarly process is pretty long!! It started with the HR screening, where I was then scheduled with the leader of the team. She was super nice and positive and made me feel good about moving forward. Next interview was with the hiring manager, which again was very nice and was very excited about the diverse experience I could bring to the team. The next interview was a bit strange but I still answered all the questions that were asked. At that interview I met with the hiring manager and the acquisitions manager where I had to go through all my roles and describe a positive and negative thing about my direct manager at each position. This interview was an hour long. I was then moved to the next round of interviews which is about a 5 hour loop with the team (which I have done with several other companies but at that stage if you did well you're getting an offer, which luckily I did from 2 other companies). During the loop everyone for the most part was very pleasant and engaging, although one of the team members was barely focused and seemed to be multitasking. I can understand taking notes during the interview but it seemed as if she was actually working. The following week I received an offer from another organization, which I mentioned to the recruiter but she was unable to give me feedback on the decision for the role at Grammarly. I was even asked to stall on my offer until she was able to get some feedback, but another week passed and I finally get a call from the recruiter mentioning the position is now on hold. I definitely appreciate the recruiter putting the time to reach out to me and explain what happened to the position, even though based on other reviews on here a lot of candidates have been ghosted. However, for the Grammarly team please respect peoples time and efforts. This interview process took a month and luckily during that time I did receive 2 great offers with companies that were very professional and efficient from day 1. As many have mentioned on here, this definitely put a bad taste in my mouth about the brand. Good luck and like I said do not waste your time. There are plenty of other companies that will be lucky to have you!
