I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Superhuman in Jan 2024
Interview
A recruiter first reached out to me on Dec 13 2023 (my birthday!) and I accepted an offer on Feb 22, so just over 2 months in total including a break for the holidays.
The process included a few screenings that were scheduled one at a time, then a "virtual onsite" where 3 interviews were scheduled over a shorter period. After this, there was one more interview to further discuss my work experience
I was provided with an interview guide with expectations for each interview, which was very helpful. There were still 2 surprises:
1. The system design interview was focused on creating a detailed design in a small scope instead of a high-level design for a large system.
2. The values/behavioral interview was less "tell me about a time when you..." and more "what was the best/worst part about this job from your work history?"
Once I was done with interviews, I was asked for 3 references and in parallel we started offer negotiation. I met with the recruiter to come to a verbal agreement on the details, then I received the written offer letter a day or two later. We had a bit of back and forth on the details, then I signed!

Question 1
Algo: Essentially "Climbing Stairs" from Leetcode https://leetcode.com/problems/climbing-stairs/
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Superhuman in Jun 2026
Interview
The interview process had five rounds: first, an HR screening, then a Computer Science fundamentals interview, a conversation with the Hiring Manager, a technical interview, and finally, a deep dive into one of my past projects. They also had a System Design interview, but it was skipped because I was applying for a junior position.
During the whole process, the HR team was very supportive, quick to respond, and kind. I especially liked getting feedback right after each interview stage. It kept me informed and made waiting between rounds much less stressful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a project you're most proud of and explain your contributions, the challenges you faced, and the impact of your work.
1 phone screen -> onsite: 1 coding, 1 system design, and 1 technical deep dive
The initial recruiter call goes over the role and interview process. After the initial phone screen, you get connected with a second recruiter who handles the remaining process (on site, team matching, leveling). For full stack roles, I was given the choice of backend focused coding or system design. Whichever one I didn’t choose for backend would be the frontend focused interview.
The process was overall very efficient and the recruiters were responsive throughout. They also help prepare you for each interview.

Question 1
Talk about 2 previous projects. What was the impact, outcome, complications, how did you collaborate, etc.
I had a very positive interview experience. The process was smooth from start to finish, and the recruiter was incredibly helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. The interviewers were knowledgeable, supportive, and made the conversations feel engaging rather than stressful. Overall, it was a well-organized process and a great experience.
