I was advanced to the final and fifth round of interviews despite not having direct experience, which was clear from the outset of my application. During the final interview, my lack of direct experience was then heavily scrutinized in a manner that felt unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily demoralising.

I went through 5 interviews over the course of 5 weeks, the final one being a customer role play and presentation which took a lot of time for preparation. I waited two weeks for an update only to be told that they have decided to no longer hire for this role and they had essentially wasted my time and I’m sure a number of other candidates. How do they put people through this many stages only to decide that far down the line? I would be aware of this before applying.

Very odd and unprofessional interview. I was told I was interviewing for an AE role and it turned out to be account management. Never received any follow up or insight into what changed.
