I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Swarovski (Vienna) in Sep 2018
Interview
Well structured, multi-level but overly lengthy interview process. Head HR and director level hiring manager involved. Abroad travelling to a personal meeting without offered compensation can be expected for candidates from outside of Austria. Overall very positive experience with personalized and prompt communication following almost every step. Too bad for the 3-week "radio silence" after the personal meeting, however a personal call and some provided details behind the decisions (after an impersonal regret letter received a few days prior) managed to restore good faith and positive feelings around the whole experience with Swarovski.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Easy to answer questions if the candidate can comfortably bring situational examples from previous experience. Questions cover professional background and achievements supported with numerical facts, and personality and behavioural traits to assess cultural fit.
Some less obvious questions which are specific to the target market:
What would you tell to a retail partner if they say the product you provide cannot be sold in their specific market?
What would you tell to the retail partner or how would you handle the situation if they complain about losing money over currency exchange rate and ask for a price increase?
There were 4 interview steps with different people from offices around Europe. More or less it was the same - previous experience and how would I handle situations among a team.
