Interview
Interviewed after responding to Craigslist ad. Be wary of the verbiage "we don't hire backgrounds..." that is a red flag that your credentials and experience are meaningless. Simple process in first interview. They don't hide that fact that they want you to recruit others rather than be a producer. You MUST try to get an accurate idea of what your costs will be since this is an entry level (1099 and not W-2) sales position. Don't expect precise numbers from the recruiter. Try to see if you can speak with an agent who has been in the field for several months. Lead costs can be substantial and their strategy is for you to collect enough commission to cover the lead costs and hope that the customer doesn't bail out or cancel the policy (chargebacks) which could quickly cause you to run a deficit. A better strategy is to try to earn commissions as paid by the customer each month, but you will need to write a substantial number of policies to break even.

Question 1
What are you looking for in this position? Expectations?
A little sketchy but seemed legit when I spoke to them. They were nice and got straight to the point. Zoom didn’t work so we just did a phone interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Symmetry Financial Group (Charlotte, NC) in Jan 2024
Interview
This company is a total scam. They're powered by Quility and essentially want you to recruit new workers for a percentage of their pay – the epitome of an MLM. Beyond this they pride themselves in advertising that you get out what you put in, but literally; "If you put in a dollar you get 4 dollars out of us." They want you to invest your money into them for no guarantee you'll be earning anything. It's entirely commission-based, advertised as a remote role, and you have to pay for your own leads.

Question 1
They didn't ask any questions beyond basic icebreakers. We were thrown into a group interview in which one of the "participants" was actually there to help the host fool us.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Symmetry Financial Group (Schriever, LA) in Jan 2024
Interview
Easy, basic questions not too formal but more of a get to know you style interview. They wanted to know about my skill set and why I wanted to join their company.
