SymphonyAI Technical Architect interview questions

I recently interviewed for a technical role at SymphonyAI. The first round was very well-conducted and professional, and the second round also went smoothly with relevant technical discussions. However, things took an unexpected turn in the final round. The interviewer, instead of diving deeper into technical areas or team fit, immediately asked about my salary expectations. After I shared them, the conversation ended quickly, and I was soon informed I wasn’t moving forward. This felt inappropriate, as compensation topics are generally HR's responsibility—not something that should dominate a technical interview. After I shared my expectations, there was no further technical discussion. It’s disappointing when technical interviews are derailed by administrative questions, especially after multiple rounds of evaluation. I hope SymphonyAI reconsiders how salary discussions are handled in the process, to ensure interviews stay focused on skills and fit.
