I had one hour interview with SVP. We had a great conversation about Synovus and the way the bank is headed in the affluent segment. He liked my ideas about in branch training of staff on how to create a referral based system. Hiring manager chose not to interview me.

Applied for a branch manager position in August. Was immediately asked to take an online assessment. Never heard another word. In late October I received an email asking me to take an assessment (the same one). I wasn’t allowed to take it because I already had. Then a lengthy interview with the recruiter and was given the names of the hiring managers that I would be meeting next. Never heard another word. Recruiter doesn’t return calls or emails, and never heard from the hiring managers. The most unprofessional, unorganized company I’ve ever seen in my 20 year banking career. I can’t believe they let them handle money. They may misplace it and not return your calls when you want it back.
