A few months ago, an in-house recruiter wanted to speak to me about a marketing position at Systech. The recruiter contacted me several ways - via LinkedIn, email, and several voicemail messages. The recruiter and I eventually connected, and the recruiter went through the typical phone screen questions. We even went over our scheduled time. At the end of the call, the recruiter said (very excitedly) "Let me talk to the hiring manager and I will get back to you!" I heard nothing for two weeks until I followed up with the recruiter, who replied with "I haven't had the chance to speak to the hiring manager. I will let you know what I hear." I never heard from the recruiter again. My experience as a recruited candidate was poor.
