TCS System Engineer interview questions

I got the interview from TCS ion test. Interview was a single technical round. Questions were based on resume, your tech stack and general IT questions. The interview was for around 30 min. There were around 4 panel members.

I recently appeared for an interview at Tata Consultancy Services for their Digital profile (7–7.5 LPA), and I’d like to share my experience to help others who might be preparing for it. My interview center was IPEC, Ghaziabad, and the overall process was smooth and well-coordinated. Usually, TCS Digital interviews are conducted in a single panel where the Technical Lead (TL), Manager (MR), and HR ask questions together. However, in my case, the process was slightly different, I had a combined TL + MR round, followed by a separate HR round. TL + MR Round: The Manager (MR) started by asking me to introduce myself. He then moved on to situational questions like: • How would you resolve conflicts within a team? • What would you do if a 1-year project deadline is suddenly reduced to 9 months? The Technical Lead (TL) focused on my technical knowledge and projects. He asked detailed questions about a project where I had implemented JWT (JSON Web Token): • Full form of JWT • How it works • Ideal expiration time for a token • Other authentication methods • How authentication is different from JWT HR Round: The HR round was more casual and centered around my personal background. I was asked about my family, hobbies, and interests. It ended with the classic HR question: “If you're offered the TCS Ninja profile (3.5 LPA) instead of the Digital profile, would you still accept it?” Overall, the experience was very positive. The interviewers were friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Now, just waiting for the results and hoping for the best! 🤞
