I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at TD (Stamford, CT) in Apr 2016
Interview
I applied online, and was contacted by a HR Recruiter the following day, asking to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was average. The recruiter asked about my work history; why I wanted to work at TD; describe a situation when you dealt with a difficult customer.
After the phone interview was done, I received a call about 30 minutes later from a branch I applied to asking to set up an in person interview the following week. The interview took place with the branch manager and another teller (most likely the head teller). The manager asked me about myself and my work history. The interview flowed really well.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer?
So far in the first stages of the hiring process. Submitted application last week and within days got a message from the hiring manager (I suspect) asking for availability for a 30min video interview. A bit informal of an approach as I usually get reached out via email or phone call with more instruction on what to expect.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TD (Gaithersburg, MD) in Mar 2026
Interview
I applied online and got an online interview with the district manager. Next, I had an interview at the specific location. I was not told it was a panel interview and the 3 managers were very unprofessional. They asked inappropriate questions, changed the question after my response, and it was overall a very toxic/humiliating one hour interview.
Was very straightforward, make sure to remain calm. Answer confidently and be honest. Try to know some fun facts about the company; they love it when you are knowledgeable and know about where you want to work. It shows that you are interested and that it's not just another job.
