I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TJ Maxx in Nov 2009
Interview
The store manager asked me basic questions about when I'd be able to work and how long I wanted to work for. There were a few situational questions (i.e. "What would you do when an irate customer..."). The interviewer was friendly and did her best to make me feel at ease.

Question 1
What would you do if an irate customer starts yelling at you?
The interview process was fast, easy, and welcoming. The staff member led me to a room/office in the back. It did feel a little informal just because you are not required to wear business casual while working there.
Overall it was a simple interview process. I had a phone interview going over main responsibilities and a description of the job. They asked mainly questions about my availability and hours. The process was quick and simple.
series of basic but informartive questions about person and how they fit into the culture and environment at the workplace. nothing crazy just simple basic questions. was with a store manager
