The interviewer sounds like a new hire, he doesn't even know what he's doing. Asks what's your salary expectation is but if you ask him what is the salary range for the position, he doesn't know.

Initial interview facilitated by the HR, about the expected salary and other questions not technical one. Within the week HR called for the 2nd interview this one is a face to face interview conducted by the Manager
r then within the week proceed to Manager. It was a smooth interview
