I recently went through an extensive interview process with Transfr VR for an IT Helpdesk Analyst position, which included a recruiting call and meetings with the hiring manager, HR leader, team, and customer support representative. All of my interviews were very positive, and I felt a strong connection with the team and the company's mission. Everyone I spoke with was enthusiastic and engaging, and I genuinely believed I was a strong contender. Transfr VR seems like a great place to work, with a passionate and innovative team.
However, after my final interview, I experienced a significant delay in communication. I had to reach out to the recruiter for an update and was subsequently informed that the position had been closed due to a change in headcount needs. This news was quite shocking and disappointing after investing several weeks and numerous hours in the interview process.
While I understand that business needs can change, I was frustrated by the lack of proactive communication. It would have been more respectful and professional to inform candidates of this change sooner rather than waiting for me to follow up. I'd love to be considered again for a position but would have difficulty trusting that the intent to hire was legitimate.
