I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at TRUMPF (New York, NY)
Interview
I was initially contacted by Trumpf's talent acquisition specialist. After a phone interview with that person. I had another phone interview with the HR representative. HR sent me an assessment test to take. Some of the questions, in the assessment test, reminded me that I should have taken a home economics class in high school. The original job, that I had applied for was no longer listed, but I still continued with the hiring process.
Anyway, everything went well until I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was very condescending. I guess that it didn't help that I should have prepared more. The hiring manager tripped me up more than an uneven carpet inside a Fun House! After feeling extremely humiliated, I decided to tap out.
After the disastrous interview, I've decided to avoid any future contact with Trumpf, or with any manufacturers of CNC machines.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TRUMPF (Farmington, CT) in Aug 2023
Interview
HR contacted me. Phone and teams interview Offer a few days later and accepted. Background check can be long and drawn out. Start date moved once due to this. Recommend switching to new check company because it shouldn't take over 10 days.
