I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Tabs3 (Lincoln, NE) in May 2014
Interview
Submitted resume and cover letter
Received call from HR
Called back for initial call. Questions included: GPA in college, salary at current position, reason for seeking new employment, current job responsibilities.
Interviewer was very open about starting salary, and the 4 expected bumps in the first year: two types of software are supported by the company and a pay bump once a proficiency has been passed for each. Plus a 6mo and 1yr bump for time in company. By the end of the first year, one could expect to make near 30k and there wasn't any wiggle room in salary.
It this position was offered earlier in my career, I would have continued the process. I was very impressed at the candidness of position overview and salary. Most times, in my experience, companies wait until an offer is going to be made to disclose salary and if the salary is too low, everyone's time was wasted.
