Had one video interview with two people.
Basic questions about my background and experience.
Lack of proper job-related questions.
After 30 minutes of interview, there was an assignment (I was not informed about it beforetime).
The test was a business case and I had roughly 20 minutes (while on mute and with camera off) to complete it. The case concept was not hard at all to grasp, but certainly required much more than 20 minutes for a candidate (who is asked to stay on the call and deal with the pressure) in order to come up with actionable ideas and deliver a decent work.
I have completed the test on time and subsequently shared my screen to describe and explain my answers and suggestions given. I do not, however, hereby disclosure the content of the assignment due to privacy and confidentiality matters.
Worst thing: never heard back from the interviewers. Never received a feedback or any sort of additional information after only one call. I must presume I have not been selected for a further step, or that they have simply forgotten to contact me. In both cases, it has been extremely disappointing and somehow unprofessional.
I have been repeatedly told during the call that, despite lacking specific experience in some of the requirements, I could have potentially been a great fit for the role and that they do not necessarily look at the seniority level but at your personality and willingness to learn.
Well, apparently this was not exactly my case, although I have continuously expressed my strong interest in joining the team and showed a sense of curiosity and flexibility.
Therefore, my experience with this employer (which is supposed to be a "Top Employer") was absolutely negative.
They have several interesting openings on their career portal but I am sorry to say that I will probably refrain to apply again or ask for a referral.
