I went through several interview rounds at Takeda — around four or five in total. The process itself was smooth, and the questions were fair and reasonable. After my final interview, HR informed me that I would receive an update within one to two weeks. I responded positively, letting them know that this timeframe was fine.
However, I never received any follow-up. A month later, I reached out to ask for an update, but again, there was no reply. Many months have now passed without even a courtesy rejection.
The waiting and uncertainty could have been avoided with a short, respectful message, and it was disappointing to experience such a lack of closure. For a company I had always admired, this left me with the impression that I would not apply again — not because of the role or the interviews, but because of the way candidates are treated. Poor communication like this can have a real, lasting impact on a company’s reputation
