Interview process went fine, but they asked me to provide references within 24 hours (and they had to be from my current employer). This made me assume I had gotten the position and was going to get an offer. I had multiple coworkers submit references for me in an extremely timely manner, just to then be told the next morning that I did not receive the position. Now multiple people at my current employer know I am looking for a new position, something I had wished to be kept private. Overall extremely unprofessional on their part.
