I applied through a recruiter who sourced me. The recruiter was professional, and I appreciated that. It took a week to meet the Treasurer and Senior Treasury Manager as I am in TX and they flew down to work / interview me from PA. Both Treasurer and Sr. Treasury Manager interviewed me at once. They were good people, and I liked them, but I ultimately called off interviewing after the first round because it became very evident to me that senior leadership at the company is not acting in the best interest of the employees and appears to be even misleading them. Additionally, the company appears to be very unstable as it has been taken both public and private in the past 2 years by the VC company which owns it. I predict the company will either do another IPO or be acquired or merge with another in the next 5 years. I do no think the VC leadership has the current employee's best interest in mind, and that was the ultimate reason for my pulling the plug on the process. I determined most of this before the interview and wanted to further investigate it. Further research just cemented it in my mind. I also read the negative reviews on glassdoor about the state of the company under current leadership, and what I found through the process gives credence to said reviews. All things considered, I walked away, but it was maybe one of the most difficult decisions I have made in my careers as the experience gained at this role would no doubt be excellent. It was just the "everything else" factor that sank this ship.
