I interviewed with Mr. Fredrick Rice. He was very professional, yet personable. Mr. Rice really wanted to get know me as a person: my likes and dislikes, what I look for in a job/career. He wanted to make sure the position he had in mind would be a good fit for me.
He called me, explained who he was and what position he thought I would be a good candidate for. He brought me in for an initial interview with him to put a face with the name, and discuss the position in greater detail. The interview took about 20 minutes, and before I left he already had an interview time setup for the following day with the Family Dollar HR Manager. After that inererview I called him and told him how it went and he answered any questions/concerns that I had. 2 days later I was called and told that Family Dollar had decided to give me a chance. I can't thank him enough because he gave me the opportunity that I most likely would not have gotten any other way. Being in HR is something I have always dreamed of, and now I get to do it.
