Interview
Extremely insincere process of big statements and bold claims about the existing sales peoples success which I later found to be totally untrue. Standard process of meeting various people in the company followed by a panel interview which is a simplistic engagement not providing much insight on a sales persons abilities. Very basic.

Interview
About 8 interviews, much more difficult than big companies like Salesforce, Oracle, SAP etc
To finish with a script with good and wrong info. produce a 20 mn presentation to a few people (some of them come you don't know why ...) To finish you never get any feedback, or answer, after one month you just imagine that you've failed. This is not professionnal at all !!!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Talkdesk (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2016
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter and we scheduled a phone call. During the call, the recruiter told me part of their process screening sales is to ask lots "tactical questions", any of my questions will be answered at the end. This was NOT an interview- it was just rapid-fire questions back to back about my quotas, sale cycle length, deal sizes, etc. There was no conversation- she just asked direct questions and wanted fast answers. Because all of this information can be obtained in a better fashion to assess a candidate.

Question 1
What are your deals size? How long was your sales cycle? What was your quota?
We are so sorry to hear that you had a negative experience during your phone screen with Talkdesk. We work hard to make sure that the interview process is bidirectional, and that both the recruiter and the candidate can acquire enough information in order to make a decision whether or not they want to move forward in this process. Unfortunately, it seems like we missed the mark with you. We typically build in 5 minutes at the end of the conversation to allow the candidate to ask questions of the recruiter. We will meet internally to make sure that we carve out this time during each interaction so that we can avoid this from happening in the future. Thank you so much for your feedback! We really appreciate it!
