I never expected a $100M business to be this disrespectful and unprofessional. I got contacted by an HR employee. She made the interview on phone and I thought it went well due to the feedback she gave me while doing the interview. Two days after, I sent her an email about the future steps and she told me that the team chose other candidate to move forward. This sounds normal, right? But, the problem was she told me that they will contact me for the first round of on-site interview on the phone. Also, when I check the job requirements, I am much more qualified than the requirements. I didn't require a high salary as well. Therefore, it sounds like another factor is in the play, which is probably requiring a visa sponsorship. But, she told me on the phone that they are okay with that. So, the last thing that comes to my mind is discrimination. I cannot sue this company as I cannot prove this, but I am pretty sure that discrimination was in the play.
