Target Floor Sales Team Member interview questions

I had to take a computer assessment and was then interviewed by 2 different managers. Each were very nice, but asked the same sort of questions in a different way. A few days later I was asked to take a drug test.

I applied online and received a phone call from the store's HR department about a week later to set a time for the interview. The interview was held about 3 days from receiving the initial phone call. On the day of the interview I first took a survey in the waiting area. The survey was about what I would do in certain work-related situations. Then I was interviewed twice in a separate, empty meeting room. The first interviewer asked about times I would be able to work and about previous work experience. She was friendly and curious about me. The second interview was similar but was asked different questions pertaining to past work experience and was told to answer in the format of, "What was the situation? How did you go about developing a solution? What was the result?" The second interviewer seemed annoyed and was trying to be nice but obviously faking it. I was told it was a seasonal position and would last until the end of Winter Holiday shopping season. At the end she asked if I had any questions. I had a feeling I didn't get the job as soon as I finished the second interview because I wasn't offered anything. I assumed if they were going to offer me a job, they would have done it the same day. By the end of the day I received an e-mail saying, "Thank you for taking the time to apply with us. We are unable to offer you a position at this time, but we do appreciate your interest in Target." The interview lasted longer than expected because it seemed to be everyone's lunch break and I had to wait about 30 minutes or longer for both interviewers. My advice is to practice for the interview the day before and to anticipate what questions they may ask by searching the internet for typical questions asked during an interview, especially if it is your first job interview.
