Interview
I applied to Target online one day and about a week later I was asked for interview. It was my first interview ever so I was naturally nervous but they made me feel at ease. I came in for the interview but before I could be interviewed, I had to complete the assessment at the kiosk. It was easy, pick the best response and pick the worst. I was interviewed by two people, a team leader and executive team leader and that's when they said they were going to offer me a position. So, I sat back down in the break room and the HR came on brought me to her office where she offered me the job and I accepted. The position was contingent based on a drug test and background check.
My advice to those interviewees, read the questions posted on here and come up with responses ahead of time because they like when you think on your feet. Also, dress like you have common sense. It's a job interview, wear business casual even if it just Target because it shows you really want the job. I was the only person dressed in business casual and I was the only one hired out of the pool of interviewees I was with. First impressions--especially in jobs--are important.
The interview were very straightforward and the atmosphere was relaxed. I spoke with a shift lead and then the HR manager. The questions were typical and there was some discussions.
It was very quick and I was hired on immediately. I was a college student going to TAMU Galveston at the time. The team was pretty easy going but just not there to help me grow as an individual.

How to handle certain situations that would happen in the real world revolving around a customer.
This was a few years ago, but I just went in and spoke with the manager in their office. Very casual and quick interview. Only 1 interview was required which was nice!
