      Sales Floor Team Member Interview

      Oct 10, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Bellevue, WA
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Target (Bellevue, WA) in Oct 2012

      Interview

I applied online on Saturday and got a call from HR that same day. She left a voicemail and I had a hard time getting hold of her due to being weekend. I finally got phone interview set up for Monday. I had my phone interview on Monday at 2 pm and got scheduled for in person interview for next day at 12 noon. So basically I had all done in 3 days, one being Sunday. To me this was a sign they are desperate to get new people in. As far as phone interview goes it was basic stuff like: Why you want to work for Target, What are your good and weak traits, tell me time you managed time well and had too many tasks to do, tell me time when you provided great and above and beyond customer service... As far as in person interview goes it was a bit uneasy because HR had so many other things to do at the same time and kept going on and of about questions. He asked again about why I want to work at Target and what are my weaknesses and asked 2 hard questions based on a scenario he made up. IT is mainly to see that you are able to think fast and logically. Also I had to watch video about the company and remember main idea behind it. I got offered a job mainly because I was able to promote REDcard a lot. I even included it in one of my scenario answers and I think he was sold there and he later told me that is main reason i got the offer.
