I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Orlando, FL) in Oct 2009
Interview
Plan to spend at least two hours for the interview. The store was conducting many interviews when I went and I have waited altogether 45 minutes just to be interviewed by a team leader and executive team leader.
When prepping for interview think of your answers in three parts:
* identify situation
* named those involved
* identify outcome
Make sure when you think of scenarios to the questions to think on a larger scale. For example, telling the interviewer that you ran a register when lines were long is not as impressive as saying that you got co-workers from sales floor to help you reduce waiting time for checkout by backing up the front lanes and communicating to customers what lanes are available with little wait time.

Question 1
Think about your weaknesses and how you plan to overcome those weaknesses by using your strengths.
The interview were very straightforward and the atmosphere was relaxed. I spoke with a shift lead and then the HR manager. The questions were typical and there was some discussions.
It was very quick and I was hired on immediately. I was a college student going to TAMU Galveston at the time. The team was pretty easy going but just not there to help me grow as an individual.

Question 1
How to handle certain situations that would happen in the real world revolving around a customer.
This was a few years ago, but I just went in and spoke with the manager in their office. Very casual and quick interview. Only 1 interview was required which was nice!
