I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Novato, CA) in Jul 2018
Interview
My interview was a 1:1 which was broken up in the 2nd floor. My interview was down into two parts. The first part of my interview focused around my background, personal struggles that I overcame, any impacts that I've made into other people's or person's life. After signing a form to confirm my hours of availability, I was taken to a different room where I would be interviewed by a different person for the second part of my interview. The second part focused on questions regarding fitting the role of the job position and having to give examples that demonstrated using skills that pertained to the position. Finally, I was offered the position, completed a background in around 10 minutes and was told that I would be called in a few days for an orientation session.

It was two interviews. The first one was a recorded interview for 15 minutes and the second interview was in person. The questions were very similar. It is common questions that they would ask for being in retail.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
