I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
They were having open interviews at the store. So I signed up. Waited in a room, then I was taken for an interview.
The lady was so cheery I almost thought she was on some uppers.
The interview quickly gets dark as she focuses on a gap I had after the 2008 recession. She keeps asking me sad questions. I try my best to stay upbeat though these disturbing questions.
The interview ends and no job offer was made.
I later figured out why I was not hired they base job offers on personality not qualifications or skill. Why people who work at target are so upbeat but dumber than dirt LOL
Good to know!
It was two interviews. The first one was a recorded interview for 15 minutes and the second interview was in person. The questions were very similar. It is common questions that they would ask for being in retail.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
