I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Target (Watertown, NY) in Aug 2013
Interview
Applied online and a day later they called me for an interview for a couple days later. When I arrived I was led to a computer to take an assessment before the actual interview. I then had an interview with one manager, he asked me which area I would like to work in because they had openings in almost all areas, a few basic questions like why I want to work at target, what are my strengths and weaknesses, and the experience I have in retail. Then he explained and asked me a few STAR questions where I had to describe the situation I had experienced that fit the question, the behaviors I took, and the outcome. After that, I watched a 5 minute video and then another manager came in. She asked me the same basic questions and then a few more STAR questions that were a little more difficult than the first manager's. After the last question, she told me that she wants me to join the team and a person from HR would be in and extend me a job offer. The HR lady told me about the job offer, gave me information for the drug test that had to be done within 24 hours of accepting the offer, and told me that she would call me when she got the results of the drug test with an orientation date.

The interview were very straightforward and the atmosphere was relaxed. I spoke with a shift lead and then the HR manager. The questions were typical and there was some discussions.
This was a few years ago, but I just went in and spoke with the manager in their office. Very casual and quick interview. Only 1 interview was required which was nice!

Question 1
Tell us about a time when you had to interact with customers
It was very quick and I was hired on immediately. I was a college student going to TAMU Galveston at the time. The team was pretty easy going but just not there to help me grow as an individual.
