I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Buffalo, NY) in Sep 2011
Interview
Full of those BS "Tell me about a time when someone you work with annoyed you" and such hypothetical nonsense. You have to sit through 3-4 people worth of this, for a job a monkey could do. They also don't seem to turn anyone away, so don't be too worried about it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Tell me about a time you worked with a team to accomplish a goal"
It was two interviews. The first one was a recorded interview for 15 minutes and the second interview was in person. The questions were very similar. It is common questions that they would ask for being in retail.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
