I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2012
Interview
Phone interview followed by two in person interviews with very simple questions. I was interviewed by a supervisor and he passed it along to his boss and then it went from there. We went over my resume and after that he told me about target Redcards. He explained it to me and told me that I would be selling them to guest when I got hired.
It was two interviews. The first one was a recorded interview for 15 minutes and the second interview was in person. The questions were very similar. It is common questions that they would ask for being in retail.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
