I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target (Sewell, NJ) in Oct 2012
Interview
The interview process was quite simple since it was a low-level job. I applied online to Target and probably a week or so later they called me for an interview. Nothing was complicated about the interview process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked several general questions such as what are your strengths and weaknesses, describe a time where you were able to complete a task very easily, describe a time when you had problems completing a task, and describe a time where you had problems completing a task because it was overwhelming.
It was two interviews. The first one was a recorded interview for 15 minutes and the second interview was in person. The questions were very similar. It is common questions that they would ask for being in retail.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
