I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TaskRabbit (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2017
Interview
I was contacted via email, requesting a time for a phone screening. After passing the phone screen, I had to complete an online test, and in order to do this test, you have to enable your camera and screen mirroring so someone can watch over you and make sure you don't cheat. But the test pretty much challenges your grammar and attention to detail; it's actually quite simple. They have you navigate their website and answer some questions, like who is the CEO or what is the TaskRabbit slogan; stuff like that. After that, it was a google hangouts interview with one of the hiring managers. After that, they asked me to come on-site to interview. This is where it got a little weird though.
They asked me to send them a few dates I'd be available, and I told them on a Thursday that I'd be able to interview on the following Monday, to which I didn't get an email back. But then when Monday came around, I got an email at 4:30 AM asking if I could come in today at 10AM. I actually couldn't make this time because since they didn't respond to me, I picked up an office temp job shift for that Monday. I emailed them the situation and they said that it was totally fine and that we could reschedule the on-site interview to another day. Then I got an email the next day- Tuesday, saying that they paused the hiring and I was no longer going to be offered a position.
Everything leading up to that was fine, but it was quite disappointing that everything was last minute and quite inconsiderate. Maybe I should've dropped the temp job shift that Monday and went to the 10AM interview; but I guess I'll never know now

Question 1
What do you consider a convoluted subject/process, and how would you break it down into something easy and simple to understand?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TaskRabbit in Mar 2024
Interview
Easy and straight to the point. An interview with recruiter, one with hiring manager, and one with a higher up. All quick and no BS questions. Everyone I talked to was great and very amicable.

Interview
If I can recall properly, I went through a phone screening and then a series of 1:1 interviews conducted by management at all levels. I believe there were 5 1:1. I was provided a few different competency quizzes.
