Recruiter requested an interview 5 days after applying to the position. Overall, it was a positive chat and they told me I had great experience compared to other candidates. They set up a meeting with the hiring manager while on the call. I never got an appointment request or information on who I'd be talking to. When I emailed the day of the call to confirm who I'd be speaking to , they said they had to reschedule due to a conflict. Totally fine. I spoke to the hiring manager the following week and thought we had a great conversation. It seemed like it would be a mutually beneficial match. However, the following day I got an automated rejection email as if I had never spoken to anyone. It came from a no-reply email. I'm not salty about being rejected, but I thought it was impersonal and inconsiderate to not write a custom email as if I hadn't spoken to the hiring manager. I did a ton of research to prepare. I was speaking to 4 other companies and could have spent my time elsewhere. If you do end up applying and moving on to interviews, just be careful as it doesn't seem they respect candidates' time.
