The Campus Placement process began with registering at the TCS Recruitment Portal 'NextStep'.
Once my application was approved by the College TnP Cell & the HR of TCS, I appeared the recruitment Process, which comprised of 4 successive rounds.
Round 1: Online Aptitude test. There were 30 Questions which had to solved in 80 Minutes. The questions were not quite tricky but were comparable to level of CAT. I did about 24 questions, out which I was confident about my accuracy for 22 questions. Some my friends, had prepared for the test from m4maths.com which had a collection of previously asked questions of the test conducted in other colleges. They found a lot a repetitions were able to clear this round comfortably, though relying heavily on their memory instead of the required logic and aptitude.
Round 2: Technical Interview. Panel of 2 Interviewers. 20 Minutes
In this round I was asked about my favorite subject which I mentioned as C. They queried about my proficiency on a scale of 10, for which I confidently replied 9. Now the game was, the trying to prove me wrong by asking questions way above my level in C, and I calmly replying that I haven't heard about this, about that. All they wanted me to do was lose control, get nervous, start shaking so that they'd eliminate me. But I dodged the entire volley of these questions, and still coming out my confidence intact. I simply stated the I was great in programming and didn't the whole C theory. The conversation then moved on to my extra-curricular activities, and being the General Secretary of college dramatics club I had a lot to tell.
Round 3: Managerial Interview. 1 Interviewer.
It took only 7-8 Minutes. The asked about my family, my projects, a few General Awareness questions about IT industry, thats it.
Round 4: HR Interview.
Only thing that was checked in round was my english fluency. he asked me to speak about IT, TCS etc.
