Interview
TCS visited our college for campus placements in the month of september...The first round was aptitude online exam followed by email writing..as I was the topper of my batch I was exempted from the online aptitude exam...I just had to write the email in 10 minutes using the key words given.By evening the list of candidates short-listed to the next round was announced...The next day we had technical round, mine lasted for about 10 minutes..They didn't ask me much technical...they asked me about my favourite subject....they asked me why I liked it...I mentioned that I was well versed with AUTOCAD and ANSYS in my resume,so they asked me some basics about them.Almost as my interview was nearing an end, they asked me to write a simple program using 'case' statement...I wrote. Then I was shortlisted for the next round....I had my HR and MR together, whereas some people had them separately.During my HR/MR interview..They asked my why I chose TCS....they asked me how I would be contributing to the company coming from a non-IT background...etc., My interview again was done in 10 minutes..This time I was worried because they other candidates from my panel had their interviews for about 20 minutes or so...They sensed that I had some questions to ask...so they asked me if I had an queries...The first thing I asked them was "Its over so soon?" Both the interviewers laughed and said that they had covered every aspect they wanted to know...later I asked them questions about their employee re-skilling,talent recognition policy etc., After a few days,I got a mail from them...with the offer letter attached. :)

Question 1
One question where most of my friends fumbled was when they were asked how they coming from non-IT background with minimum knowledge of IT study contribute to an IT company. My suggestion is that One should go through the clients to whom TCS services so that they can answer that question better.
