I applied online. I interviewed at Tavant (Bangalore Rural)
Interview
Was simple and straight forward, process related questions and platform related discussion. It was a good interview, interviewer had a good knowledge of the process and scenarios. Felt like a discussion than sn interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tavant (Bengaluru)
Interview
Horrible Experience. Will not join even if it is the last job on planet.
4 rounds, 2 weeks, HR apologies. Read below:
Round 1: Screening Round.. They check mortgage experience only and a bit of BA experience and basic questions.
Feedback: Cleared
Round 2: Technical Questions for BA. And politely asked - "do you have any mortgage experience. ? " (Even though I have told the HR and in the 1st interview that I don't have) Still they again ask the same question.
Feedback : Cleared
No response from HR for 1 week. Called multiple times but HR will not even update.
HR update after 1 week: Some genius Project Allocation Manager will assign a project to you and again there will be a project interview will happen.
Round 3: Do you have any mortgage experience ?
(Facepalm) No Sir, I have already intimated the HR.
Interview completed with fair technical questions and some managerial questions.
Feedback: Negative, do not have mortgage experience.
Called the HR and asked not to schedule any further interviews. HR apologized and scheduled another round and said it's a Finance project.
Next day, Round 4: Panel of two highly intelligent guys take an interview for a BA role asking about Data Architecture and Agile Process. But they hover around Mortgage and again and again repeat -"so you don't have mortgage experience?" Interview questions was again too much technical. Interview is over.
Feedback : Guess what !! Negative. Do not have mortgage experience.
Called the HR and yelled, but the response is I am really sorry, please don't be upset.
Tell me guys, would you like to work for a company like this ?
No way, I will work. My personal opinion, don't know about others but it is horrendous.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tavant (Bengaluru) in Oct 2019
Interview
First Round - By a Sr Business Analyst - very much to the point, no nonsense, you have to be extremely sure on your points when it comes to previous projects, your experience, skills. Tries to manipulate to check your confidence.
Second Round - Case study, very very vague scenario but the good thing is you are given enough time to solve it. Knowing the industry is a big plus to solve.
Third Round - F2F - Detailed Technical, unlike the other companies, who concentrate on previous projects and skills, this is highly efficient and interesting. As long as you know what your personal vision and where you are headed to, you will not be able to impress. IT is totally about how different you can be from the rest of the candidates.
Round 4 - The Director, trust me, not so easy. Guess, he goes through the profile in depth. Again, your confidence and passion comes into picture.
Round 5 - HR Manager - Cool person, doesn't stress you much.
If you are looking for a very challenging interview, you are at the right place. Not so easy to crack and impress. Hats off to their hospitality and treatment, even as a director, the kind of respect that a candidate gets is certainly amazing.
