I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Teads in Sep 2020
Interview
I was really excited about interviewing for this role - I had relevant experience, and HR was extremely sweet and helpful throughout the interview process. Hiring manager also gave me a good impression, but when it came to the final interview stage (including data analysis + presentation with recommendations) with the sales director gave me a really bad vibe. I was completely transparent about my performance marketing experience being rusty throughout the interview process, which was well received up until then. My recommendations were received with condescending questioning and scrutiny - perhaps I made a mistake somewhere, but I figured it was better to demonstrate my current ability rather than to cheat get a friend in the industry to give me the answer. I guess my honesty demonstrated that I wasn't an ideal sales candidate :) The recruiter was sympathetic in her email saying they would not proceed, but ghosted me when I asked for feedback. Looking back, it feels like I dodged a bullet.

Thank you for taking time to share your recruitment experience with us. We are really sorry to hear you had a negative experience with one of our team members during the final interview. One of our values is "cynicism - not cool!". In fact, we do not tolerate arrogance nor condescending exchanges at Outbrain and we have a culture based on transparency, trust and respect. We know this took place back in 2020, but reading your review it shows that bad experiences leave a deep mark.
