Teamwork Junior Front End Developer interview questions

First Round Interview that was basically a talk about the company then given a technical assignment to work on. I passed that and was brought forward to the next stage and was promised an interview with a team lead and senior developer but that never happened. Apparently they found candidates that were ideal for the job and instead of telling me they strung me along until I had to ask them what the situation was. That's when they told me the roles had been filled. I found this very unprofessional, just tell me straight away I don't have the job instead of making me wait with no idea what's going on and forcing me to get an answer out of you.
