Interview Experience:
I recently attended an interview for a Frontend Developer position. The interview process was thorough and consisted of two rounds: a technical round and a managerial round.
First Round: Technical Interview
The first round focused on JavaScript and React basics, as well as some advanced concepts. I was given a coding task related to React, which I found to be fair and manageable. The interviewer was professional and asked relevant questions that tested my understanding of frontend development fundamentals.
Second Round: Managerial and Technical
The second round was conducted by a manager and covered deep scenario-based questions along with core concepts of React, Redux, REST APIs, and middleware. While I appreciate the detailed approach, I found this round to be quite challenging for someone with my experience level (2 years). The questions seemed more appropriate for a mid to senior-level developer, which was somewhat demotivating.
Overall Impression:
My experience was not good i would say.However, the level of difficulty in the second round was unexpected for a junior position. I believe that tailoring the questions to match the experience level of candidates would create a more positive and encouraging experience for junior developers.
Advice to Management:
Consider adjusting the complexity of the interview questions based on the experience level of the candidates. This will help ensure that junior developers feel more confident and motivated during the interview process.
