I was contacted via LinkedIn regarding the position. I was provided very little information about the role and had to locate the job description myself. Any questions I asked were not really answered, such as job location, salary range, if it was full time, yet I was expected to answer their questions. After asking 3 times for a salary range, I was then asked what my salary expectations were. I was then asked to confirm if I was okay with the lowest figure I provided, in addition to receiving no benefits. It was not made clear to me from the beginning that the role would offer no benefits and it had never been told to me until after being asked my salary expectations. Since most companies offer benefits, I had accounted for that in my salary expectations. If I was told from the get-go that the role did not include benefits, I certainly wouldn't have been interested, and if I had been, I would have asked for a higher salary to account for that.
