      Graphic Designer Interview

      Mar 1, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Nashville, TN
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at TechnologyAdvice (Nashville, TN) in Feb 2021

      Interview

The first interview was around a 30 min phone interview followed by an assessment, which was basically a design project redesigning a website (spent 8 hrs on it, but they didn't set a time limit). Then after the assessment was a 1 hour zoom meeting, followed by a 4 hour "on-site" (for me it was zoom) design project and 3 zoom meetings. The first zoom meeting was to let me know the project(s) scopes and go over any questions (I really thought I would be working with people and not by myself), then the next was an interview with the graphic designer, followed by an interview with 3 people, manager and two hr managers. I got replies pretty fast about if I was moving on to the next phase, which I was appreciative of. At the end, I didn't get the job, but they asked if I would do contract work which was above the scope of the original job description, more developer type work.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What are your weaknesses? Also, what would your former managers say your weaknesses are?

      Interview

I had a phone interview with HR first, then was given 3 days to complete a skills assessment. Next I had a second interview over Zoom with HR and a team manager. I had one more final interview where I completed another 2 hour assessment and had an interview with another designer. I was offered the position a few days after.
