I interviewed for this role and went through three rounds of interviews only to receive an automatic email rejection with no explanation. Common courtesy would be for company's and interviewers to extend a thank you to candidate's for their time and effort as it takes candidates hours to research and prepare for multiple interviews. I believe this is a direct reflection of how they are likely to treat employees. The company currently does not have a marketing department and is starting from scratch (they have one person who is less than 3 months in as the head of marketing). This PMM role is new for the company as they have never had it before so it allows for the candidate to really run with position and create processes. With that said, I don't believe the interviewers really know what they're looking for or what they need - they just know they need this Product Marketing Manager title. A few observations: the interview team needs to learn how to interview better. Questions were lackluster and interviewers seemed less than excited. Next steps were not outlined and I had to follow up to schedule the third interview after it appeared that they forgot. Lastly, follow up with candidates to give constructive feedback - it's the least you can do after spending hours with someone. The experience was unprofessional and disappointing.
