The process is fast and easy but the company is not sure what they look for. I applied for Chief Architect, I had a call interview their recruit which took 1h and it was pretty clear to understand each other. He said the position is not priority for now but they look for Team Lead also. What ever I got an assessment after the interview. The assessment was pretty easy but some parts of it was not clear but they clarified for me. Then they accepted my assessment and called me technical interview with their Team Leader 1o1 (Weird thing Chief Architect position was interviewed by Team Leader). The interview started with introduction self then continue with business and technical questions and finally it is done after assessment reviewing that took 45 minutes. I got a feedback about my english skill was not well for this position and they would like to continue for Team Leader position with moving up chance. I accepted it. Last interview was with CTO (also the company owner). He was asking questions quickly and chance topics so fast. Talked about background, used technology, any complaint about me, design and pattern etc. then reviewed assessment. Then he offered me Senior Developer position he said they hired someone who as a Team Leader before and they were failed that why he wants to be sure I am fit the position, also there is a no hurry to filled the team leader position etc. I was confused because we started the process for Chief Architect then talked for Team Leader and final step I got a Senior developer suggestion because of the understand my skills and understand theır structure.
But after that they gave up for offer because the CTO felt I was not correct person for the company.
I understood they have low budget that why they are looking for someone who has strong communication skill with english is his mother language and move their project up with fulled experience by self for average salary.
I offer them to improve their process and not wasting people time and money (if people come from another city) They can skip recruit interview and do first interview with CTO directly.
