I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tenaris (Houston, TX) in Feb 2022
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin to schedule a call to discuss an HR role. After the initial discussion, I told the recruiter that I wasn't interested as the position did not meet my salary expectations. It would have been a 15K salary cut and a step back in my career. The recruiter then called me back and promised that they could work with my salary expectations and asked me to meet with the HR team and HR hiring manager to discuss a different role. They all promised I would hear back soon in fact several times during the process the recruiter would tell me this person will be your future supervisor/coworker. I gave it some time and a few weeks later I checked in with the recruiter only to be told that they had now entered a hiring freeze and could not make me an offer. This didn't bother me but what eventually made me dislike Tenaris was that a week later they reached out to me and again offered me the lower-paying position in a location an hour and a half away from me. Overall it was a waste of my time and I didn't feel that the company was honest with their intentions. I happily declined.
