I had an hr screening which quickly led to an interview with the hiring manager. He did not seem very engaged but I chalked it up to him having a chill personality. However I don’t think I was asked any questions that would have helped determine if I was good for the job. I felt like I had to find ways to bring up my experiences, which was very relevant and very niche to the role.
Received a rejection a few days later despite meeting all the requirements. Could just be a personality fit but felt like the interview was just a checklist on their end.
Both the hiring manager and hr person kept highlighting the fact that they hire a ton of young people and that the environment is a great place. I see a lot of their staff are young, recent graduates and don’t have much experience and many of their recent hires all came from a very specific organization. Very little diversity too.
I would say- please don’t waste peoples time in this challenging market if they are going to hire friends of friends in the end.
